The boat I use is a 2007 Tracker Grizzly 1860. With a length exceeding 18 feet and a bottom measuring 5 feet across, the all-welded hull gives passengers a stable ride and a sure-footed fishing platform. It features two casting decks (fore and aft), and two cushioned bench seats mid-ship. Made of heavy, .100 gauge aluminum, the boat is sturdy and reliable, ideally suited for the unique challenges  and fluctuating water levels of the Dix River. You can be sure that few boats are better designed to give you a safe and comfortable ride up the Dix.

Max. passengers (including guide): 8

For this boat and others like it, see Tracker Boats and Stokley's Marine.

Powering the boat is a 2006 Mercury 50hp, electronically fuel injected 4-stroke outboard.

Mercury's commitment to the environment is reflected in the automotive style motor. What passengers will appreciate are a much quieter motor (versus 2-stroke motors) and no discernible exhaust. What Brad additionally appreciates are reliable, turn-key starts and greatly increased fuel economy, which translates into a happier environment and a happier wallet.

To learn more about Mercury motors, see their web site. To inquire about purchasing a new outboard for your boat, feel free to contact my great friends at Stokley's Marine in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Ask for Ralph or Neil.
