The first time folks experience the Palisades is often as memorable for the Guide as it is for the Guest. Although other opportunities exist to do a short tour of the Kentucky River at the bottom of Pool 7, only Dix River Adventures can get you within eye shot of the pristine beauty of "the narrows"...a thin chute that erupts in rapids as the down current water piles upon massive boulders. Folks often remark, "Wow! This looks like Colorado!" Tours typically average about an hour, depending on water conditions.

You and your friends will board the boat at the High Bridge boat ramp, then enjoy a leisurely glide up the Rivers. Occasional stops will allow you to capture fantastic photos of waterfalls, fauna, wildlife, and (of course) the Palisades. This is a must-do Adventure for out-of-town guests as well as locals who just need to breathe the cool, clean air of the river basin.
